Sarah has over 15 years experience teaching a wide variety of instruments and styles. Former students are members of the National Youth Orchestra and Wind Orchestra, and have achieved places at major conservatoires throughout the UK.

In 2000 Sarah was awarded the Royal Academy of Music’s prestigious Meaker Fellowship, which enabled her to continue her studies, oversee woodwind performance classes and create new projects at RAM. Masterclasses given include the University of Massachusetts, the University of South Africa and closer to home at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

Sarah has been involved in ENO’s Bayliss Project - children’s summer workshops to produce a showcase based on an opera - for a number of years. She is a tutor for the Benslow Music Trust, and in 2007 was invited to coach the National Saxophone Ensemble of Great Britain.

Sarah is currently Saxophone and Clarinet tutor at the Lady Eleanor Holles School in Hampton, and the Dragon School in Oxford. Previous teaching posts include Warwick University, St Marylebone School in London, Bedales School and Birmingham Conservatoire (Junior Department) with cover roles including the Haberdashers Askes Boys School, Kingston University and North London Collegiate School.

Sarah is an external examiner and entrance audition pannelist at Trinity College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music.

More recently Sarah appeared as a course tutor alongside Rob Buckland, Keith Slade, Lawrence Gill and Mike Hall at the 2011 Manchester Single Reed Summer School.
